    Carrie Welch is Launch Director of the Center for the Creator Economy, adjunct Professor and technical writer at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, USA. Her research examines disinformation, AI bias, and media representation through an intersectional feminist lens. With over 20 years in communications, including leadership roles at Food Network, her own Portland PR agency, and food festival Feast Portland, she bridges academic research and professional practice, focusing on public relations, AI, and cultural storytelling.
